Hindu group 2001 has completed; its 2nd project successfully and have organized to keep a meeting on 2nd of November 2009 to discuss about our next phase actions......!
Completed projects as follows:-
1st Project :- One day workshop program for 2009 Grade 5 scholarship students of Matale Hindu College and Pakkiyam National School, number of students participated 135.
2nd Project :- Subject tutorial facilitation for 2009 Ordinary Level students of Matale Hindu, number of tutorial issues - ??
Up coming Planned events:
3 rd Project: Monthly examination for G.C.E A/L students of Matale district.
4th Project: English Language and Personal development seminar for Matale district Tamil Students in Collaboration with Relief International and State Department of United States of America.

The workshop was inaugurated by the college’s Principal Mr. Elilventhan. The Secretory of the OBA of Matale Hindu Mr. Ram Thilagar also participated in the event. The organizers from Hindu Group 2001 Mr. A. Chithrakumar, Mr. R. Nithiyananthan, Mr. Saravanan, Mr. Saravanaraj, Mr. M. Gobinath and Mr. T. Sumanenthiran facilitated the model Examination and the workshop.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Bala B.Sc, Principal of Mt/Ganeshwara Viyaalayam, a well-known teacher credited with effectively guiding Grade five students in the district in the past. The first session of the workshop consisted of a model examination. During the second session answers of the exam questions were explained to students using multimedia visual presentation
The group consists of Old boys of Matale Hindu College who sat the Advanced Level examinations in the year of 2001. After eight years, with a good professional and academic experiences, now we are focusing on the educational development of our community.
Our primary aim is to enhance the academic development of Matale Hindu College. To achieve this now we are in the process of developing project proposals. The three focal areas we are focusing are;
- Grade five Scholarship examinations
- G.C.E O/L Examinations
- G.C.E A/L Examinations
These works are implemented with the collaboration of the educational committee of Old Boys Association and under the patronage of School Principal Mr. Elilventhan.
It is hoped that all the well-wishers of the school and the old boys will offer their support to these initiatives!!
